Maya vs ChatGPT dots, Muse, Grok Bot and Instinct

ChatGPT dots, Meta's Muse, Grok Bot and Instinct are general AI agents: each one uses a computer and the apps you connect to get tasks done for you. Maya, Entagl's AI business manager, works inside your business instead, and runs the AI employees who answer your customers. One way to see it: Muse can phone or message a salon to book you a haircut. Entagl is what answers that call or message at the salon.

The answering side is where bookings are won. In Entagl's own study, 78.4% of buyers who asked several businesses at once bought from the one that replied first. And agents are starting to make those calls: in September 2026, Reuters reported that Muse can now dial US businesses for errands like booking haircuts.

What are ChatGPT dots, Muse, Grok Bot and Instinct?

Three of the four launched in 2026 (Instinct's site gives no launch date), and all four describe the same basic idea: an agent that uses a computer and the tools you connect to finish work for you. Here is each one in its maker's words, as of November 2026.

Agent Maker Launched How it works, per its maker Who it's for
ChatGPT dots OpenAI September 29, 2026 "Their own cloud computer, their own browser, and the apps you've connected"; plugins reach over 4,000 apps Pro and Business Premium users in eligible markets; Enterprise in beta when an admin turns it on
Muse Meta September 8, 2026 A dedicated secure computer with its own browser; you message it in the Muse app or in WhatsApp People in the US; free for most of what people need
Grok Bot SpaceXSI (x.ai) August 11, 2026 "A computer of its own"; signs in to the tools your team already uses Teams handing off work like sales outreach and office operations
Instinct Instinct Not stated on its site "You can text or call it. It can use a phone and computer in the same way that you do." People: its examples are groceries, train tickets and flowers

Notice what they share. Each one starts from you: your goals, your inbox, your apps. That is what makes them good at your own to-do list. Our look at AI browser and computer-use agents covers how agents like these operate software and where the category is still maturing.

What is Maya?

Maya is the AI business manager built into Entagl. You text her on WhatsApp, send a voice note or a photo of your price list, or talk to her in the Entagl app. She doesn't need to sign in to your business from the outside, because she already works inside it.

Three things follow from that:

  • She starts from your real data. Ask "how many bookings came in this week?" and she looks it up in your account. Every number she puts on a chart or table has to come from a real lookup or from what you told her (how Maya answers from your own data).
  • She runs the team that answers your customers. Your AI employees reply 24/7 on Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, Facebook, email and your website chat (the Receptionist), and the Coordinator answers your phone. Maya sets them up, trains them and fixes them when an answer comes out wrong.
  • One OK changes it everywhere. Ask her to raise a price and she shows you a card with the before and after. Tap Approve and every AI employee quotes the new price on every channel. She can test a change on sample messages before it goes live.

One thing Maya doesn't do: reply to your customers herself. Your AI employees and your team do that.

What is the real difference, side by side?

General agents (dots, Muse, Grok Bot, Instinct) Maya
Works for You or your team, on your tasks Your business and the customers who contact it
Starts from What you tell it and the apps you connect Your bookings, orders, prices, customer chats and call transcripts, already in Entagl
Gets work done by Using a computer and signing in to apps, the way you would Working inside Entagl, where those records live
Talks to customers Acts on your side of the conversation Through the AI employees she runs, on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, email, website chat and the phone
Before it changes something Most ask before sensitive steps, such as sending an email or making a purchase A card with the before and after for every change, unless you choose otherwise

Neither side is "smarter." They sit on opposite ends of the same call.

Why does the business side of the call matter now?

Because agents are becoming the customer. Bain estimates that US agentic commerce, meaning purchases initiated, influenced or completed by AI agents, could reach $300 to $500 billion by 2030, roughly 15% to 25% of US e-commerce. Our guide to agentic commerce covers how shopping agents choose where to buy. Muse phoning a salon is the same shift reaching services: Meta's own help page says it is experimenting with Muse calling businesses whose phone numbers are public.

When that call or message lands, someone has to answer it, at any hour, with the right price. The data points the same way: being available, and being first, wins the booking.

  • 47% of calls to US businesses come in after hours or on weekends, according to AnswerConnect's call data for April to June 2026, published September 23, 2026.
  • Replies within 60 seconds converted at 35.1%, against 7.1% when the reply took 1 to 24 hours, across 32,581 conversations in the Entagl Response Velocity Study.
  • 78.4% of buyers asking several businesses at once bought from the one that replied first (same study).

That is the job Entagl's AI employees do, and Maya is how you run them without digging through settings pages. If after-hours inquiries are your weak spot, start with our guide to capturing leads after hours.

Can you use a personal agent and Maya together?

Yes. They do different jobs. Ask a personal agent to book your train home (Instinct lists exactly that among its examples). Ask Maya how many bookings came in this week, or to move Sara's appointment to Thursday at 3.

You could also point a general agent at your business tools and let it work screen by screen, the way you would. It starts from whatever you connect. Maya skips that step: your bookings, customer chats and AI employees are already hers to read and manage, and by default, anything she changes comes to you first as a card.

FAQ

Is Maya just ChatGPT with a different name?

No. Maya runs on large language models, including models from OpenAI and Google, but she is a different product. She works inside your Entagl account, reads your real business records and manages the AI employees who answer your customers.

Can ChatGPT dots or Muse answer my customers' Instagram messages?

They are built to act for the person who sets them up, across the apps that person connects. OpenAI is also starting focused enterprise pilots of "specialist dots" that take on dedicated roles inside a company, building on its internal testing in areas such as customer support. Entagl's AI employees already answer customers on Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, TikTok, email, website chat and the phone, around the clock, and hand a conversation to your team when a person should step in (how an AI agent differs from a chatbot).

Will Maya change my business without asking?

Not unless you choose that. By default every change comes as a card you approve. Even in "just do it" mode, campaigns, templates, reminder messages and call lists wait for your tap.

Which languages does Maya speak?

Write or talk to her in your own language and she answers in it. Your AI employees answer customers in 100+ languages, and the Entagl app itself is available in 10.

Want to see the difference on your own business? Text Maya on WhatsApp and ask her how many bookings came in this week. The short version of this comparison is on Maya's page.
