Entagl vs ManyChat: Build Flows, or Let the AI Read Your Site
ManyChat scripts each step in a flow builder and counts your users and contacts. Entagl reads your website, answers across your messaging channels without flows, and books real appointments. Here is where each one fits.

Entagl vs ManyChat comes down to one choice: build every step yourself in a flow builder, or let an AI read your website and answer. As of October 2026, ManyChat's always-on AI Replies run on Instagram only and are in beta, its plans allow 1 to 10 users and meter monthly contacts, and we found no native calendar on its public pages (appointments go through a third-party Calendly app). ManyChat suits a business that grows through Instagram comment and keyword triggers and wants a low monthly price; Entagl suits one that wants an AI receptionist answering WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, TikTok, Telegram, email and web chat without flows, booking real calendar slots, with unlimited team members.
Where is ManyChat strong?
If your growth runs on Instagram comments, keyword triggers and broadcasts, and you like scripting each step yourself in a flow builder with 60+ templates, ManyChat is the stronger pick. Its Instagram and Facebook comment triggers send a public reply under the comment plus a private DM (source). Sequences and broadcasts go out on Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram, email and SMS (source).
The list price is much lower than Entagl's. Paid plans start at $14 a month billed yearly ($17 monthly), and Manychat AI is included from Pro at $29 a month billed yearly ($39 monthly) for accounts created from March 2026, with no per-reply fee (pricing). The security page lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and ISO 42001 (source).
Two smaller wins: the AI "automatically detects the language in the contact's message" (source), and when an agent replies in Inbox, a 30-minute automation pause kicks in by itself (source).
Where does ManyChat limit you?
"Not listed" below means we searched ManyChat's help center, pricing and product pages and found no mention, not that the feature is missing.
Always-on AI is Instagram only
AI Replies, Knowledge, Behavior and Goals are "currently available only for the Instagram channel" and "currently in beta" (source). On WhatsApp or Messenger, the AI is one node inside a flow, and you must "create a trigger within your automation so people can reach it" (source).
Users and contacts are counted
Plans run from 1 user on Free to 10 on Advanced, and Active Contacts are capped from 25 to 25,000 a month, with overage from $0.10 down to $0.004 per extra contact (pricing). Pro includes 2 Inbox seats, and "Additional Inbox seats cost $25 per seat" (source).
Bursts of messages, wrong answers and voice notes
Customers type in bursts: "hi", then "how much", then "for two people". We found no message-grouping setting in ManyChat's AI Replies or Default Reply help articles; the Default Reply trigger fires "every time" a user sends a message or "once every 24 hours" (source).
Guardrails are a free-text field, Instagram only, and the help center warns the AI "may still occasionally answer outside those boundaries" (source). We found no prompt-injection filter or per-conversation reply cap on its public pages. Wrong answers are fixed by hand: the test Playground flags a missing question and you type the new entry (source).
A WhatsApp voice note arrives as a file URL that you send to your own transcription service with a "Make External Request" action (source).
Bookings, calls and selling
We found no native calendar or slot engine. The Data Collection block offers "Date" and "Date and time" replies, "useful for scheduling, booking appointments" (source), and appointment setting runs through a paid third-party Calendly App in the App Store.
The pricing page lists no voice or phone-call product. The App Store's one calling option is a third-party Twilio Bridge app for "making simple phone calls" (source).
For selling, the Buy Button works on Messenger and Instagram DM, and "the maximum item price is 100 USD" (source). Shopify sync goes through the third-party ShopSync app or Zapier and Make. Trendyol is not listed anywhere.
Records and later changes
The Contacts tab gives statuses, tags, segments and custom fields, and a help-center search for "pipeline" returns nothing (source). "Create with AI" drafts a new automation, then you "make adjustments directly in the Flow Builder"; version history and rollback of a published automation are not listed (source).
What does Entagl do instead?
Receptionist reads your website, picks up services, prices, hours and FAQs, and can answer the same day. There is no flow builder. The AI is included on every plan, Free too, on WhatsApp, Instagram DMs, Messenger, TikTok, Telegram, forwarded email, web chat and the API. Team members and contacts are unlimited.
- Bursts. Entagl waits a short window (8 seconds by default, you can change it), groups what arrived and answers once.
- Guardrails. An input judge blocks prompt-injection attempts, spam and verification codes, and replies are checked before they go out. While a required-details checklist is open, the AI holds back bookings, checkout links, orders and offers until the details are in. A chat pauses after 20 AI replies in 24 hours (adjustable), and if a turn stalls, a safe fallback goes out and the credits are voided. More in can customers hack your AI agent?
- Wrong answers. Thumbs-down a reply and a feedback agent groups complaints by cause, diagnoses them and proposes a fix that a person approves. See keeping an AI agent accurate after launch.
- Media. The AI reads photos, voice notes, videos and PDFs (it varies by channel).
- Your team steps in. The AI pauses for that chat and resumes after a time you set (60 minutes by default).
Bookings use real calendar slots, and customers reschedule or cancel in chat. Reminders go out on WhatsApp, where Confirm, Reschedule and Cancel taps reach the AI, or as plain SMS. Coordinator, a separate Entagl voice product with its own credits, answers calls and places confirmation, reminder and no-show win-back calls on phone numbers and WhatsApp; you set the maximum call length.
Contacts sit on a pipeline board whose stages move on a booking or order. The catalog tracks stock levels, Shopify brings checkout links and orders, and Trendyol brings orders and public product questions. Later changes go through the AI Manager: you chat or speak, approve each change as a card, and can roll it back.
What Entagl does not have: a funnel or landing-page builder, email drip sequences, helpdesk ticketing with SLAs, or SMS as a two-way AI chat channel.

Who should pick which?
Pick ManyChat if:
- Your funnel is Instagram comments to DMs and broadcasts, and you want to script every word.
- One to three people answer, and your monthly contact count is predictable.
- You sell low-ticket items under the Buy Button cap, or nothing in chat.
Pick Entagl if:
- Customers reach you on WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok and your website, and one AI should answer all of them.
- Your team grows or rotates and you would rather not buy seats or count contacts.
- You take appointments and want real slots, reminders and confirmation calls handled for you.
FAQ
Where is ManyChat the stronger choice?
ManyChat is the stronger choice when growth runs on Instagram comment and keyword triggers and broadcasts, and you want to script each step yourself. Its list price is much lower (AI on Pro from $29 a month billed yearly), and its security page lists SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001.
Do I have to rebuild my ManyChat flows in Entagl?
No. Entagl has no flow builder to rebuild them in; Receptionist reads your website and can answer the same day. If you depend on scripted funnels or email drip sequences, Entagl does not have them.
Does Entagl remember a customer across WhatsApp and Instagram?
Partly. Calls, chats, bookings and orders attach to one contact record, and the same phone number links a person's WhatsApp chats and calls automatically. An Instagram contact and a WhatsApp contact for the same person stay separate until you merge them, so the AI will not recognize a WhatsApp customer the moment they DM you on Instagram.
See it on your own website. Bring your site and we will show you what Receptionist learns from it and how a booking runs from the first DM to the reminder. Book a demo.
